JIMMY CRYSTAL
NEW YORK
TERMS & CONDITIONS
- All Jimmy Crystal prices are in US dollars.
- A freight charge needs to be levied so should be added to the cost price, this is typically between 5-15% for orders over $1000 (which is the minimum order value). Generally speaking the higher the value of the order, the lower (pro rata) this cost is. Based on an analysis of a random selection of recent orders this showed the average to be 9%. An import duty of 2-3% is also added (see below*). Therefore you should allow 10-15% on top of the dollar price quoted to give you indication of the UK landed price. For example: a watch costing $30 including the gift box with 15% landed price added would cost $34.50.
- As Jimmy Crystal is a bespoke service we do not hold stock so each item is crystallised for you as per you order which allows you to choose colours and personalise items as you wish.
- A 30% deposit is required before production of your order can begin – most customers pay this by credit card as this is the easiest and most economical method of payment. However, payments can also be accepted by bank transfer direct to New York, or by cash.
- Once the deposit has been paid, the order is processed and the goods are made to your order or specification in New York, which takes up to four weeks.
- When the goods are ready the freight cost is calculated based on the exact weight and size of you shipment. At this point the balance of the goods plus the freight cost is due for payment.
- As soon as the final payment has been made the goods are shipped (usually by DHL) the same day – they then take 3/4 working days to reach you.
- The duty* is levied by HM Customs and Excise (which we have included in calculation of landed price – stanza 2). The carrier (as government agents) will invoice this to you together with V.A.T. due at the usual rate. V.A.T. can of course be claimed back in the usual way, providing you are registered.
- Our Jimmy Crystal UK office will liaise with you throughout the process and will answer any questions you may have – it really is very simple!
